An alarm that waits for a lighter moment.

Tell Smart Wake the time you must be up. In the window before it, your Apple Watch looks for a lighter sleep moment and starts the alarm then — and if it never finds one, the backup alarm fires at your chosen time. Guaranteed. The smart part can only ever wake you earlier, never later.

Coming soon to the App Store See how it works

The core alarm works on iPhone alone. The smart wake window uses an Apple Watch.

One deadline, one window

Smart Wake is built around a single promise: it never wakes you later than the time you set.

Set your no-later-than time

This is the hard deadline — the moment you must be up. The backup alarm is anchored here and cannot be missed.

Choose a wake window

Pick how far before that time Smart Wake may start — say, up to 30 minutes. Wear your Apple Watch to bed and that's it.

Wake earlier — or exactly on time

If a lighter sleep moment shows up inside your window, the alarm starts then. If not, the backup fires at your time. Either way, you're up.

Clever where it can be, certain where it must be

The smart window is a bonus on top of a dependable alarm clock — never a replacement for one.

Premium

Smart wake window

Your Apple Watch watches for a lighter sleep moment inside the window you chose, near your alarm time, and starts the alarm there.

Guaranteed

Hard-stop backup alarm

Fires at your chosen time no matter what — Watch on the charger, window not found, phone face down on the nightstand.

Apple Health, on-device

Reads your sleep data from Apple Health with your permission and processes it entirely on this device. Nothing is uploaded — there's nowhere to upload it to.

No account, no servers

Nothing to sign up for and no cloud in the loop. An alarm clock should work in airplane mode — this one does.

Premium

Morning recap

See what time the alarm chose and where in your window it landed — a simple log of what Smart Wake did, morning by morning.

Works without the Watch

No Apple Watch, or forgot to wear it? Smart Wake is still a clean, dependable alarm clock that rings exactly when you told it to.

The alarm is free. Forever.

Every new user starts with a 7-day free trial of Premium — then the core alarm stays free for good.

Privacy

Smart Wake is designed so there is nothing to collect and nowhere to send it.

The short version: your sleep data is read from Apple Health on your device, used on your device, and never leaves your device. No tracking, no analytics, no account, no servers.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, Smart Wake reads sleep data from Apple Health to find a lighter sleep moment inside your wake window. That data is processed entirely on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It is never uploaded, shared, sold, or used for advertising — Smart Wake operates no servers it could send it to. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices, and the backup alarm keeps working exactly as before.

No tracking, no account

  • No account or sign-in — the app never asks who you are.
  • No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers.
  • No data leaves your devices. Alarm times, windows and the morning recap are stored locally.

Purchases

Premium subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. Smart Wake never sees your payment details.

Making sure the alarm can always sound

Smart Wake checks these at setup and warns you on the alarm screen if anything would get in the way. If an alarm was quieter or later than expected, walk through this list:

  • Notifications allowed: Settings → Notifications → Smart Wake → Allow Notifications on, with Sounds enabled.
  • Focus modes: if you use Sleep Focus or Do Not Disturb, add Smart Wake to the allowed apps (Settings → Focus → your Focus → Allowed Notifications).
  • Volume: keep the ringer volume up. The alarm uses the ringer, not the media volume.
  • Keep the app installed: deleting or offloading the app removes its alarms. iOS offloading can be disabled per app in Settings.

The smart window didn't trigger early

  • Wear the Watch to bed with wrist detection on (Watch app → Passcode → Wrist Detection).
  • Health permission: check Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Smart Wake and confirm sleep data access is granted.
  • Window length: confirm a wake window is set on the alarm. With no window — or no lighter moment found inside it — the alarm simply fires at your chosen time, as designed.
  • An early start is a bonus, never a requirement: the backup alarm at your chosen time does not depend on the Watch at all.

Plans

The core alarm is free forever. Premium (smart wake window + morning recap) starts with a 7-day free trial, then €4.99/month or €19.99 once for life. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone; purchases are handled by Apple.
